George Bush is a douchebag but I'm voting for him anyway

George W. Bush Is A Douchebag, But I'm Voting For Him Anyway

Nah, I'm just kidding. As I was getting this website up and reviewing links, I wondered if anyone had created a George W. Bush equivalent of the "John Kerry is a douchebag, but I'm voting for him anyway" website. Sadly, this is not the case, so I decided to dedicate a piece of my website to this position.

I'm not really surprised because Bush supporters seem to lack the ambivalence of Kerry supporters. It is a huge leap of faith to believe in the heroic, competent Bush image in face of the facts. It doesn't leave much room for a jaundiced eye.

Besides, the Bush supporters, who aren't cynical business people or folks have been scared into believing Papa Bush will keep them safe, seem to think this guy is George W. Christ. Frankly, the comparisons between Jesus Christ and George W. Bush are pretty obvious:

Jesus was a privileged son of a powerful father, who used his position to enrich himself and his benefactors, just like George!
Jesus frowned on the poor as lazy and ignorant, just like George!
Jesus let the moneychangers into the temple, just like George!
Jesus said that all rich people, especially the least charitable, get a free pass into Heaven, just like George!
When Satan offered Jesus the world, he said, "I'll take it!", just like George! (Although I believe it was Cheney filling in for Satan in the modern version.)
